Richard Bajt, age 85, of Kankakee, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at his home. 

A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial Mass on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Inurnment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Dick was born May 5, 1940, in Joliet, the son of Joseph and Julia Torker Bajt. He married Joan Wilkerson on May 12, 1973, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Herscher. In 1995, he retired from Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America, Herscher. Dick enjoyed traveling–especially to his home in Key West. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Dick was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.

Surviving are his wife, Joan Bajt of Kankakee; one son, Ryan Bajt of Bradley; one daughter, Dyann Nowman of Kankakee; one sister, Karen Bajt of Kankakee; one brother, Ronald and Lana Bajt of Muskegon, MI; and two grandchildren, Keegan and Rion.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family wishes. Arrangements by Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, Kankakee.
