Geraldine “Gigi” Simpson, age 92 of Bradley, passed away Monday, October 12, 2026 at Arc of Kankakee. She was born May 12, 1934 in Bourbonnais, the daughter of Lionel and Ester (Bouchard) Brais. 

Geraldine married Robert Simpson on February 6, 1951. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2016.

Geraldine was a “master quilter”, a fabulous cook, great housewife and Mom.

Geraldine was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.

Surviving is two sons, Dennis Simpson of Bourbonnais and Jaime (Teresa) Simpson of Lexington, KY; one son-in-law, Kevin Gadbois; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; one daughter, Cindy Gadbois; one sister, May Nelson; and one brother, Francis Brais.

Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. The funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.
