George F. Molter, age 94 of Bradley passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. A funeral Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Marcin Michalak at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais.
George was born on June 14, 1931, in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Max C. and Viola (Harding) Molter. He married Joann Steele on October 13, 1953, in Indianapolis, IN.
George was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1949 to 1952. He was a Staff Sargeant during the Korean War serving in the Philippines. He was a supervisor for Gould National Battery working 24 years before retiring in 1996.
George was a member of the Kankakee Chapter of the VFW and a member of the Manteno American Legion Post 755. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and following all sports. George and Joann spent their retirement years wintering in Florida. Most of all, George enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
Surviving is his wife, Joann of Bradley; three sons, Robert A. (Krista) Molter of Sun Lake, AZ, William G. (Robin) Molter of Okawville, IL, Michael J. Molter of Mill Valley, CA; two daughters, Pamela S. (James) Boblick of Western Springs, IL, Mary Jo (Steve) Andrews, of Kasson, MN; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great grandchildren. George is preceded in death by his parents.
