Willetta P. Waddick, age 96, of Bradley, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, in Plainfield.


Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.


Willetta was born September 6, 1929 in Chicago, the daughter of William & Evelyn Lagger Meter.


Willetta married Robert Waddick on October 12, 1985. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2010.


Willetta was a homemaker and a secretary. She loved plants, gardening, traveling, journaling, dancing, and swimming. Most of all, she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Willetta was of the Catholic faith.


Surviving are one son, Francis Eugene (Cathy) Kennedy of Bourbonnais; two daughters, Laura Moore of Bradley and Sherri (Tim) Okrey of Plainfield; sixteen grandchildren, Jimmy, Melissa, Elijah, Laura, Sloan, Stephen, Rachel, Katelyn, Bryan, Catherine, William, David, Christalle, Michelle, Nicholle, and Danielle; and twenty-six great-grandchildren.


Willetta is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Francis Eugene Kennedy; her second husband, Robert Waddick; one son, James Kennedy; and four sisters, Viola Trosper, Evelyn Seitz, Laverne Shields, and Marlene Meter.
