Rose Gagnon

Rose M. Gagnon, age 84, of Bourbonnais passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, at Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home in Bourbonnais.

A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Rev. Anthony Nugent will officiate. Inurnment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.

She was born April 25, 1932, in Williamsburg, Michigan, the daughter of Max and Julia (Denoyer) Yankee. She married Charles E. Gagnon. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2012.

Rose retired from Kankakee Community College media department. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Chuck and Joelle Gagnon II of Bonfield and David Gagnon of Bourbonnais; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Connie and Robert Farman of Limestone, Julie and Gary Dockemeyer of Reed Springs, Missouri, and Valerie Walters of Bourbonnais; fourteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; and special friend, Gloria Buchanan of Monee. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William, Ed, and Robert; and one sister, Dorothy Smith.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley or Alzheimer’s Association
