Richard Paul Dionne, 67, of Bradley passed away Friday, October 19, 2018, at his home.
A celebration of Dick’s life will be Saturday, October 27, 2018, at St. Joseph Church in Bradley. Visitation will be from 10:00am -11:00am, with the service to follow at 11:00am. Officiating will be Deacon Greg Clodi.
Dick was born August 4, 1951, in Kankakee, IL to Paul and Donna Wright Dionne. His career path was with CSL Behring, as an operator. He retired from CSL and while working there he met the love of his life, Sharon. They were together 34 years, married 26 years ago on July 25, 1992, at the home of his parents in Bradley, IL.
Richard was a devoted family man and an avid golfer. Golfing was often a family affair; father, mother, siblings, nieces and nephews, daughter and grandchildren could often be found golfing together. Richard’s wish was to be at home surrounded by family during his last days. Those days were filled with conversations, reminiscing, laughter and tears. He will always be loved and missed by his family and all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon, his mother Donna Dionne of Bradley. A daughter, Wendy Gingell of Chicago, IL. A sister; Paula Dionne of Bradley, A brother and sister in law; Rex and Connie Dionne of Herscher, IL. 2 grandchildren; Kimberly Gingell and Ethan Gingell. Two niece’s; Kalee and Jonathon Pair, Hollye Dionne. Nephews; Jasen and Aimee Dionne and Tobey Dionne. Also, great nephew; Conner Dionne and great niece; Abigail Dionne. Also surviving are Aunt’s; Valeria Wright Hunt of Gibson City, IL, Ann Dionne Wright of Fort Collins, Co. Dorothy Dionne Mason of Stockbridge, WI and an Uncle; Mike Vandenhout of Bradley, IL. and many cousins and wonderful friends. Dick is proceeded in death by his father, a brother, Doug Dionne and a cousin, Dan Dionne.
In lieu of flowers, please give donations to Presence St. Mary’s Hospital Rehab Center in memorial of Dick Dionne.
Jensen Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Cremation rites were accorded.
