MaryBeth Benoit

MaryBeth Benoit, 65, of Kankakee, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 with family and friends at her side.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017, at St. Joseph Church. Fr. Tony Nugent will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow at Maternity B.V.M. Cemetery in Bourbonnais. 

MaryBeth was born August 9th, 1951, the daughter of Theodore and Frances (Chambers) Gulczynski. 
She was retired from Bradley-Bourbonnais High School where she worked in the Student Affairs Office.

MaryBeth enjoyed gardening, antiques, and Mardi Gras celebrations. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Kankakee Historical Society, the VFW Bradley Auxiliary and the Bradley American Legion Auxiliary. 
Preceding her in death are her parents; and her two sisters, Patricia Clary and Janice Miller.

In August of 1969, MaryBeth married her high school sweetheart, JoDee Benoit. The following August, she welcomed her first daughter, Lisa (Brad) Mann who survives, along with their three children, Andrew, Alex, and Avery. Her second daughter, Susan, was born in April of 1973. Susan survives with her daughter Josephine Domenget. Also surviving are her two siblings, Jacqueline Hammond, of Kankakee and Theodore Gulczynski, of Clifton; and many nieces and nephews. 

The family requests not to send flowers, but rather make a donation to Hospice of Kankakee Valley
