Kenneth R. Delabre, 61, of Kankakee, IL, died on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Riverside Miller Healthcare, in Kankakee, IL. He was born on May 15, 1964, in Kankakee, IL, the son of Richard and Theresa Marlaire Delabre.
Memorial visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Bourbonnais. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 North Center Avenue, Bradley, IL. Reverend Marcin Michalak will celebrate the Mass. Inurnment will be held at All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Kenneth is survived by his two sons; Ken Delabre II of Naperville, IL, and Amy Buamgardener of Naperville, IL, and Joel and Breanna Delabre of Nashville, TN. His two brothers and sister-in-law; Kevin Delabre of Littletown, CO, and Wayne and LeighAnn Delabre of Harker Heights, TX. His two sisters and brothers-in-law; Carrie and Winston Freund of O’Fallon, IL, and Marie and Dale Lorance Delabre of Grant Park, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Richard and John Christopher Delabre, and his sister; Angela Delabre.
Kenneth was a Traffic Coordinator for a Trucking Firm. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, Il, and served on the Knights of Columbus Council. Ken enjoyed playing his guitar, singing and writing. He published the book, “My Walk on the Parkinson’s Path.”
