Kenneth P. Collette, age 77, of Bradley, formerly of Manteno, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. 

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of the 6 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Schreffler Funeral Home in Kankakee. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.

Kenneth was born September 26, 1946, in St. George to Armand & Catherine (Reilly) Collette. He married Linda Dillard on June 7, 1969, in St. George. She preceded him in death on August 25, 2023.

Kenneth was a custodian for Manteno School District, retiring in 2008 after 23 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and writing poetry. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.

Surviving are three sons, Paul Collette (Amber Christian) of Bourbonnais, Keith Collette of Kankakee, and Owen Collette (Alicia Spallas) of Bradley; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Armand Collette and Michael & Donna Collette, both of Kankakee; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and one brother-in-law, Roy Dillard of Equality, IL. In addition to his wife, Linda Collette, Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
