Gerald Edward “Gerry” Kilbride, age 87, of Kankakee passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kankakee.
Gerry was born February 6, 1938, in Kankakee, the son of Edward & Gertrude (Ruder) Kilbride. Gerald married Judy L. Romary on July 29, 1961 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kankakee.
Gerry was a Certified Public Accountant and Manager and Owner of Eastcourt Village. He was a 1956 graduate of St. Patrick Central High School. Gerry earned his BS from Northern Illinois University and his MBA from the University of Chicago.
Gerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a 4th degree knight, President of the YMCA from 1974-1975, in the National Handball Association, Army National Guard, Elks Country Club, Kankakee Country Club, and Quadrille Club. He was also the owner of the Kilbride Data Center and co-founder of the Kilbride Family Run & Walk for Autism for 22 years. He was an avid Chicago Bulls fan and season ticket holder for over 55 years. Gerry was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
Surviving are his wife 63 years, Judy Kilbride of Bradley; three sons, Mark Kilbride of Destin, FL, Andrew Kilbride (Liz Marek) of Ann Arbor, MI, and Thomas (Lindsey) Kilbride of Ann Arbor, MI; three daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Range of Highland, IL, Christine (Kevin) McGovern of Kankakee, and Mary Kilbride of Bradley; one sister, Dolores Arseneau of Kankakee; two brothers, Duane Kilbride of Hudson, FL and Roger (Glendal) Kilbride of Bourbonnais; seventeen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Gerry is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Mose Arseneau and Joseph & Margaret Romery.
