Dale E. Milton, age 90, of Manteno, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at his home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Rev. Tony Nugent will celebrate the Mass. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2018 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Interment will follow at Blooms Grove Cemetery in Rockville Township.
Dale was born July 5, 1928 in Manteno, the son of Ellsworth & Valeda Schreffler Milton. He married Bonnie Burnam Nugent on October 7, 1987 in Phoenix, AZ.
He was the owner of Milton Motors. He loved to work, was an avid car collector, and was passionate about keeping his property manicured. Dale was a member of the Bradley Lions Club and Shriners International.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Milton of Manteno; one son, Richard Milton of Bradley; one daughter, Barb Milton of Las Cruses, NM; one step-son, Jay Nugent of Manteno; four step-daughters, Regina & Dave Marcotte of Manteno, Gerise & Joe Martinez of Manteno, Amy & Terry Steen of Manteno, and Linda & Kurt Weigt of Manteno; three brothers and four sisters-in-law, Wendell & Pat Milton of Manteno, Wayne & Phyllis Milton of Wilmington, Bob & Sandy Milton of Kankakee, and Sue Milton of Manteno; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Linda Johnson; one brother, Sherman “Kelly” Milton, and one sister, Fostine Dahn Schwark.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association , Hospice of Kankakee Valley , or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
