Anthony Baratta, age 95, of Bradley passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018, at the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Inurnment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.

He was born September 19, 1923, in Kankakee, the son of Philip & Vincenza (Randazzo) Baratta. Anthony married Madeline Passentino on July 9, 1950 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Kankakee. She preceded him in death on February 9, 1996.

Anthony retired from Automatic Electric in Northlake. He had also worked at Bradley Roper.

Anthony was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WW II in both France and Germany. He was awarded the Bronze Star.

Anthony was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, were he was also a member of the Holy Name Society.

Surviving are three sons Philip Baratta of Phoenix, AZ, Steven Baratta (Dora Kroese) of Macfarlan, WV, and Alan Baratta of Gilbert, AZ; and two grandchildren, Alma Baratta and Alysha Baratta. In addition to his wife, Madeline Baratta, Anthony is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Vicki Berger; and several brothers and sisters.

Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno. Arrangements by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.
