Ronald L. Hart, age 88, of Bourbonnais passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.
He was born October 25, 1934 in Kankakee, the son of Clyde Donald & Evelyn Marie (Prairie) Hart. Ronald married Joanne Mulligan in 1954 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
Ronald worked for Armstrong World Industries, retiring after 35 years. He raced cars at the Kankakee Speedway. He was a member of the Kankakee Valley Model Flyers. Ronald was a skilled wood worker and talented at building things. He built his home, on his own back, in 1958.
Ronald was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Joanne Hart of Bourbonnais; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Steven R. & Annette Hart of Harold, CA and Kevin & Cassie Hart of Normal; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sue & Don Holohan of Mooresville, NC, Cathy King of Bradley, and Carolyn & Stephen Gall of Kankakee; fifteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Meggie Holohan and Dan King; two great-grandchildren, Keira Gifford and Raylyn Gifford; and one son-in-law, Dave King.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.
