Marilyn Mitchell
Marilyn J. Mitchell, age 86, of Bradley, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at her home.
A memorial visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Rev. Joel Fortier will celebrate the Mass. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kankakee.
She was born June 3, 1931 in Chatsworth, the daughter of John & Gladys Ryan Baldwin. Marilyn married Billy W. Mitchell on April 21, 1956 at St. Teresa Church in Kankakee. He preceded her in death October 6, 1973.
Marilyn was a homemaker. She also worked and volunteered at the YMCA. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Lu Mitchell of Kankakee; two grandchildren, Tim Carrigan of Chicago and Billy Mitchell of Chebanse; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Dr. Thomas Baldwin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
