Leonard Lambert

Leonard R. Lambert, age 103, of Bradley passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022, at his daughter’s home with his family by his side.


Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Ashkum.


Leonard was born December 12, 1918, in Beaverville, the son of Paul and Ida (Curby) Lambert. He married Stella Detoux on January 20, 1940, at St. George Catholic Church in Bourbonnais. She preceded him in death in 2013, sharing 73 years together.


Leonard was a farmer. He was also Road Commissioner in St. Anne for 17 years. He served as an usher at St Anne Catholic Church for forty years and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed playing cards, watching westerns, and watching wrestling. Most of all, Leonard loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.


Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dale Lambert and Betty Peters-Lambert of Bonita Springs, FL; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon and Bill Kibbons of Bonfield, Denise Kuffel of Clifton, and Melvin and Rosalind Marcotte of Clifton; one sister, Sr. Myra Lambert of Batavia; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Paul “Junior” Lambert of TX and Frank and Martha Lambert of Beaverville; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.


In addition to his wife, Stella Lambert, Leonard is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Carol Marcotte; siblings, Vernon Lambert, Pauline Arseneau, Vivian Langevin, Roy Lambert, Leland Lambert, Don Lambert, Doreen Lambert, August “Gus” Lambert, and Calvin Lambert; and one son-in-law, Richard “Dick” Kuffel.
