Gary Henderson, age 64, of Bradley passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019, at his home.
A visitation will be held from 4- 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
Gary was born January 8, 1955, in Chicago, the son of Ray M. & Esther L. (Brumitt) Henderson. Gary married Julie Beckman on June 9, 1984 at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Momence.
He worked in production at Valspar Corporation in Kankakee, retiring in 2017, after 44 years of service. Gary was a NASCAR fan. He enjoyed boating, camping, and working on cars & trucks. Gary loved spending time with his family and enjoyed the simple things in life.
Surviving are his wife, Julie Henderson, a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jamie & Kimberly Henderson of Bonfield and Jarett Henderson of Bradley; two daughters and one son-in-law, Nicole & Sean Green of Belleville and Mary Henderson of Bradley; five grandchildren, Gavin Green, Grant Green, Gaige Green, Autumn Henderson, and Dalton Henderson; three sisters and three brothers-in-law, Patty & Mike Patterson of Bourbonnais, Gladys & Mike Boggess of Bourbonnais, and Ginger & Ed Clocksin, of Hudsonville, MI; one brother, Johnny Henderson of Thayer, MO; and one sister-in-law, Terri Henderson of Bourbonnais. Gary is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jimmy Henderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family wishes to be used for Mary’s college expenses.
