Dorine M. (Tobenski) Cowan, 97, of Bradley, passed away Saturday (Dec. 17, 2016) at Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home in Bourbonnais.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, where Dorine was a member. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Kankakee.

Memorials may be made for Masses, Epilepsy or Alzheimer's Disease.

She was born Dec. 9, 1919, in Irwin, the daughter of Frank and Aldea (Kerouac) Tobenski. Dorine married Ralph "Blackie" Cowan on June 30, 1946, at St. James Church in Irwin. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1999.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Rose Ellen and Marvin "Gene" Lavallie, of Kankakee, and Deborah and William Bennett, of Bradley; one brother, Harold Tobenski, of Herscher; one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Merlyn Witheft, of Buckingham; one sister-in-law, Geraldine Tobenski, of Irwin; three grandchildren; one step-grandson; five great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Floyd Tobenski; and one sister-in-law, Helen (Nicholas) Tobenski.

Dorine enjoyed spending her time doing crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, gardening and going to garage sales.
