Carolyn A. Dayhoff, age 81, of Bourbonnais, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. 


A wake will be held at 10am on Friday, Sept. 8, 2023, until the 10:30am memorial service at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Deacon Greg Clodi will officiate the service.


Carolyn was born on November 24, 1941, in Blytheville, AR. The daughter of Oliver & Dorothy Crump. She was a beautician, owning her own beauty salon, for 20 years. Most recently she was a retired respiratory therapist at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.


Carolyn was a devout Catholic and active member at St. Joseph’s. She enjoyed baking, going to lunch with her girlfriends, sewing, sunbathing, puzzles, and crafts. Most importantly she enjoyed her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a very proud “G-Ma.”


Surviving are her sister Molly Rigsby of Kankakee, daughter Lorrie and Tim Corcoran of Bourbonnais, stepson Gary Lynn Dayhoff of Aroma Park. Four grandchildren, Amanda and Adam Clark, Lauren Eubanks and Tony Palacios, Jeremey Gash, and Megan and Michael Donley. Six great grandchildren, Liam Eubanks, Olivia, Caleb, and Aiden Clark, and Crew and Emilia Donley. Also, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Dayhoff, and her son Gregory Gash.


The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Uplifted Care in Bourbonnais.
