Carol M. Decker, age 81, of Bourbonnais, passed away Friday, November 10, 201, at her home.

Visitation will be held 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kankakee.

Carol was born September 30, 1936, in Beaverville, the daughter of Alex & Maybella Nourie Zdyb.

She married Wayne Decker on August 23, 1952, in Kankakee.

She had operated her own beauty shop and later took care of the bookkeeping at Decker Furniture. 
Carol enjoyed going to Key West for winter and Door County in the summer. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, who lovingly called her, Geegee. She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kankakee.

Surviving are her husband, Wayne Decker of Bourbonnais; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark Decker of Bradley and David & Donna Decker of Kankakee; one brother and sister-in-law, Rodney & Donna Pangle of Bourbonnais; three grandchildren, Tammy Decker, Sara Loring, and Brian Decker; and five great-grandchildren, Colin, Noah, Ben, Liam, and Lexi. She is also survived by a longtime friend, Kathy Understahl of Kankakee. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Randy Pangle; and one infant brother, Jimmy Zdyb.

Memorials may be made to the family wishes.
