Charles R. Burke passed in peace at his home in Bradley, Illinois, on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the age of 74.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am Saturday, December 16, 2023, until the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, both at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bradley.

Charles was born on June 21, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, to Victor and Virginia. Charles studied accounting at Marquette University and served the Kankakee-area community for many years as a Certified Public Accountant and was a leading partner at Burke, Montague, and Associates when he retired. Charles enjoyed frequent lunches with friends, the fine arts doing volunteer work for the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra, was an avid reader, and a masterful player of all types of strategy games. Charles was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bradley.

Charles is survived by his siblings Cathy (John) Pour, Dan (Susan), and Bonnie (Bill Ewald) Terry; children Christopher (Dawn), David (Jennifer), Amanda (Eric) Wesselmann, Gregory, and Laura (Jon) Senica; as well as eleven grandchildren and his long-time caregiver Bilegee. Charles was proceeded in death by his parents and Bonnie’s husband Richard.
