Brenda B. Blankestyn, 84, of Bradley, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 at Iroquois Memorial Resident Home in Watseka.

Brenda was born on April 12, 1939, to James H. and Marjorie (Miller) Belden. She married Percy Blankestyn on Jan. 8, 1975, in Kankakee. She retired from assisting others as a patient care sitter at Riverside Medical Center. Brenda was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. In her free time, Brenda enjoyed singing in the church choir, reading, shopping, most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends.

Brenda is survived by her son, Randall Regnier (Julie Barber); a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Gary Metschuleit; two grandchildren, Erik Metschuleit (Jenna Chapman), Morgan Metschuleit (Mark O’Connell); a niece, nephews; a favorite cat, Coco. She is preceded in death by her husband, Percy Blankestyn; parents; brother, Timothy Belden; sister, Bethany Bayles; sister-in-law, Bobbe Belden; brother-in-law, Lyle Bayles.

Cremation rites have been accorded and private services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.
