Religious Education Catechists

Amiee Kuk—Pre-School

A member of St. Joseph Parish for seven years, this wife and mother of two remains very active in the community and with her job.

She's been involved with RE for more than five years. "I'm constantly learning new things." Being connected with the Lord through serving as a catechist "reminds me of all the important things," she added.

 

Kristin Rink—Kindergarten

A member of St. Joseph Parish for nine years, this loving wife and mother of five children is a kindergarten teacher at Limestone Grade School.

Kristin has been a RE catechist for five years. Her favorite part of her ministry is seeing her students participating at Mass and other parish gatherings.

 

Nichole Lewis—Kindergarten Aide

A life-long member of St. Joseph Parish, Nichole works for an insurance brokerage office and as a fitness instructor. She is married and has two sons. Her husband, Rick, came into the Catholic Church two years ago.

Nichole's cousin, Kristin Rink, is the kindergarten catechist. "My grandma assisted Kristin last year and I thought I would be a good fit to take her spot. My youngest son, Parker, also joined the Pre-K class this year." 

 

Sandy Saathoff—First Grade Aide

A member of St. Joseph Parish for seven years, Sandy has helped in the RE program for more than five years in various capacities. "I feel it is a privilege to share my faith with the youth of our parish.

   Sandy and her husband, Jeff, have been together since their senior year of high school. They were married in 1994 and have two children.

The busy mom and parish volunteer also teaches 3 year olds at the Bourbonnais Township Park District and is taking classes to further her career.
