Religious Education Catechists

Alma Trauscht—Second Grade

Alma is a loving wife and mother of four sons and two daughters. Active in the community and with her children's activities, she has been a member of St. Joseph Parish for nine years.

She has served in the program for nine years as an aide and now as a catechist. RE has given Alma an opportunity to "strengthen and expand the minds of the children in regards to their Catholicism and practices they follow."

This stay-at-home mom's family keeps her busy, but in my 'me' time I love to read."

Mandy Ritzke—Second Grade Aide

 A parishioner at St. Joseph's for about a year, Mandy got involved in RE last year. "I enjoy watching the children's faith grow. I also enjoy sharing my faith and experiences with the students."

A part-time CPA and full-time mother of three, Mandy loves spending time wither her family and enjoys reading.

 

Chrissy Nojd—Third Grade

Chrissy is a life-long member of St. Joseph Parish. This is her first year as a catechist. "God has blessed me with many blessings." She decided to get involved with RE as a way of thanking the Lord and "using the gifts God has given me."

Married for 10 years, this mother of one worked at Robert Frost School as a reading aide. She enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Melanie Koziol—Third Grade Aide

This is Melanie's first year being involved in the RE program. "It was always something I had thought about doing," said the life-long member of St. Joseph Parish. She received a phone call from one of the coordinators, asking about the possibility of getting involved. "I decided to help out."

Married for 10 years, Melanie and her husband, Ben, have three daughters. No stranger to the classroom, Melanie worked as a teachers aide in Pre-K at St. Joseph School. "I am now enjoying being a stay-at-home mom."
