We are
blessed with this wonderful gift ... the doorway into the heart of
Christ.
Indeed, Catholics do not take the gift of baptism lightly.
They refer to this awesome moment every time they enter the church. They dip their hand in the water and mark
themselves anew with that same sign in which they were baptized—the
sign of the cross. This is a reminder of their own baptism.
